This seater is equipped with a spring-loaded, precision-fitting bullet seating stem that ensures positive alignment as the bullet and case move up into the seater. The micrometer adjustment on the seating stem allows for simplified and recordable bullet seating depth. The micrometer is calibrated with .001 inch increments, can be adjusted infinitely, and has a zero set function. This particular seater does not have crimping features, and it is advisable to perform crimping functions separately with a Redding Profile Crimp or Taper Crimp die. The Competition seating die for handguns and straight wall cases is generally compatible with most progressive reloading presses.
