"Original, Stock Rubbing Compound" is not as fine as this product, which is almost twice as fine, making it gentler and less likely to remove material. Using it will give any stock finish a more even and brighter appearance. On a glossy finish, it will create a jewel-like luster. For a satin finish, first use 600 grit paper to cut back Tru-Oil® or Lin-Speed®, then apply a small amount of this product with a soft cloth and rub it until you achieve the desired look. Buff it off with a clean, soft cloth to reveal a magnificent depth and glow. It can also be used to remove fine scratches on stocks or furniture.
