Please note that the 749-013-833 speed screw is not compatible with the Sinclair Competition Rests.

The Sinclair Competition Rest offers a one-inch, solid steel base plate with a durable granite powder coat finish. This construction allows us to achieve a unit of massive weight – over 30 pounds - with the lowest center of gravity, all while maintaining a footprint no larger than other tripod rests on the market. It is almost twice as heavy as our closest competitor.

Mobile
Most shooting rests are unwieldy and difficult to move around. We addressed this by adding a carry handle to the base plate, making the Sinclair Competition Rest one of the most mobile units available in spite of its enormous weight. There are no unsightly handles or cumbersome two-arm lifting methods necessary.

Effortless Operation
The Sinclair Competition Rest includes windage operation built into the base plate. The design incorporates dual sets of twin tapered roller bearings, allowing for effortless, non-binding windage adjustment. The oversized windage control knob is placed near the rear speed screw, providing easy one-handed adjustment. This rest provides nearly four feet of windage adjustment at 100 yards - enough for any bench shooting discipline. The oversized, fluted handwheel also offers smooth vertical adjustment with the help of a thrust bearing. For shooters who prefer to adjust windage off the rear bag or who have no use for the windage adjustable base block, a non-windage-adjustable model is available.

Ambidextrous Design
The windage unit platform construction enables both right-handed and left-handed setups, making this platform fully ambidextrous. The post, center column, controls and windage adjustment disassemble and reassemble on the opposite side, for an entirely mirrored, left-hand use.

Hardware for Hard Wear
Upgraded hardware is included with the Sinclair Competition Rest, including a beefed up center column (1.95 "from 1.375"); threaded post (1" diameter from ¾"); leg screws (½" diameter from 3⁄8"); and large-diameter fluted speed screw - all made from high-grade stainless steel that can withstand a lifetime of use and abuse. All knob controls and handwheels are machined from aluminum, then anodized or powder-coated to make them durable and provide a secure grip surface for all adjustments.

Topping Perfection
Our Benchrest Top comes equipped with this rest, featuring a lockable forend stop assembly. Accommodating both Edgewood and Protektor front bags in sporter, varmint, and benchrest configurations, our Benchrest Top is also adjustable for length (fore-aft), height, and cant. Approved by NBRSA and IBS for competition shooting, our benchrest top is ideal for rimfire benchrest competitions, especially the Sporter Rifle class, and for shooters looking to achieve the highest level of accuracy from all their rifles.
