Our Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides are designed to be inserted into the action of your gun in place of the bolt or bolt carrier. They have a snout that features a silicone "O"-ring that is put into your chamber to seal the barrel off from the receiver. This serves to prevent solvents from leaking back into the action area, which can cause the trigger assembly to gum up. Currently, we stock "O"-ring rod guides for more than 1,000 different action/cartridge combinations. Each rod guide is machined to fit specific actions and cartridge families that range from .17 to .338 caliber. Some rifle chamberings are not suitable for the "O"-ring style rod guide. For these cartridges, we recommend our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides.

This upgrade is now included with every centerfire bolt action rod guide and almost all AR style rod guides.
