The snout of these guides has a silicone "O-ring that fits into your chamber, creating a seal between the barrel and the receiver. This "O-ring prevents solvents from leaking into the action area and clogging the trigger assembly. We offer over 1000 different action/cartridge combinations for our "O-ring rod guides, which are machined to fit actions and cartridge families ranging from .17 to .338 caliber. However, some rifle chamberings do not work with "O-ring style rod guides, so we recommend using one of our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides in those cases.

To better meet our customers' cleaning needs, we have recently upgraded our Sinclair "O-ring rod guides to include integral solvent ports. This upgrade comes standard with all centerfire bolt action rod guides and almost all AR style rod guides.
