They are equipped with a snout containing a silicone "O-ring" that seals your barrel off from the receiver once inserted into your chamber. This mechanism prevents solvents from leaking back into the action area and gumming up your trigger assembly. We carry over a thousand different "O-ring" rod guides that are machined to fit specific actions and cartridge families ranging from .17 up to .338 caliber. However, certain rifle chamberings do not permit an "O-ring" style rod guide. For those cartridges, we suggest trying one of our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides.
