Our Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides feature a snout with a silicone "O-ring that seals off the barrel from the receiver by inserting into your chamber instead of your bolt or bolt carrier. This prevents any solvents from leaking back into the action area and gumming up the trigger assembly. We provide "O-ring rod guides for more than 1000 different action/cartridge combinations, ranging from .17 up to .338 caliber. However, certain rifle chamberings are not conducive to the "O-ring style rod guide, and for these cartridges, our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides are recommended.

To better serve the cleaning needs of our customers, we have recently upgraded our Sinclair "O-ring rod guides with integral solvent ports, which are included with every centerfire bolt action rod guide and nearly all AR style rod guides. However, if you prefer a rod guide without an integral solvent port, we can provide one upon request. Please note that these types of rod guides without solvent ports are considered semi-custom, and delivery may take 2-4 weeks. There is no additional charge for these rod guides.

Please note that FN versions of the Model 70 do not all have .700 bolt diameters and have fixed ejectors, which necessitates milling a slot down the length of the rod guide body. Any Model 70 made after 2010 with an FN stamp on the receiver instead of Winchester New Haven Connecticut is considered a custom rod guide, and bolt diameter should be checked accordingly.
