While the resizing process occurs, the cartridge case remains securely supported in a sliding sleeve which is chambered tightly and moves upward. The self-centering resizing bushing fits around the case neck, giving precise micrometer control over the desired amount of neck length to be sized. The decapping rod remains aligned accurately by the internal parts of the die, creating a reliable and consistent sizing process.
