The seaters come equipped with a bullet seating stem that provides precision fitting, and is also spring-loaded. This ensures that positive alignment is maintained as the bullet and case rise up. The micrometer adjustment present on the seating stem enables easy and accurate recording of bullet seating depth. The micrometer is infinitely adjustable, is calibrated in .001 inch increments, and has a zero set feature. This particular seater does not include crimping features. Separate tools like the Redding Profile Crimp or Taper Crimp die should be used for crimping. This Competition seating die is compatible with a majority of progressive reloading presses, for both straight wall cases and handguns.
