The seaters come with a spring-loaded bullet seating stem that fits precisely to ensure positive alignment as the bullet and case move up. They also feature a micrometer adjustment on the seating stem that makes setting and recording bullet seating depth a breeze. The micrometer is calibrated in .001 inch increments, is infinitely adjustable, and has a zero set feature. However, this seater has no crimping capabilities, so for crimping purposes, a separate Redding Profile Crimp or Taper Crimp die is recommended. Additionally, the Competition seating die designed for the handgun and straight wall cases is compatible with most progressive reloading presses.
