RCBS Steel Neck Bushings are specifically designed to provide optimal tension on bullet when used with RCBS Gold Medal Match sizing dies. They are interchangeable, offering the reloader the ability to choose the right bushing for the exact amount of tension desired. They also reduce work hardening of the case neck brass, which increases case life and enhances accuracy.

The bushings are self-centering and ensure proper alignment with the case neck. For best results, it is recommended to use high-end brass with consistent neck thickness. The bushings come in bare steel and require traditional case lubrication. Only use with RCBS Gold Medal sizing dies.

RCBS recommends having neck bushings one to two sizes above and below the target diameter. This helps keep the loading process consistent and improves accuracy.

Brownells Gun Tech™ Tip: two methods for selecting the necessary steel neck bushings are provided. The first is to measure the outside neck diameter of the loaded cartridge and subtract .002" to .003". This allows approximately .001" of brass to spring back for correct neck tension. The second method is to measure the neck wall thickness of the case, multiply by two, add the diameter of the bullet and subtract .002" to .003".
