Forster Inside Neck Reamers are special tools used for removing excessive brass from the case neck walls. They are constructed with a staggered tooth design and made of high-quality, wear-resistant tool steel which is ground and exceeds the maximum bullet diameter by .0025" to .003". These neck reamers should be used only after cases have been fired with a full load and before the neck or full length sizing operation. Wall thickness can be measured by using a tubing micrometer or in a simpler way by sliding a bullet into a fired, unsized case neck to determine any interference. If interference exists, the neck should be reamed or outside neck turned.
