Looking for an easy way to clean and polish older barrels or put a mirror polish in new ones? Look no further than our Flex Hone® abrasive balls, mounted on a flexible shaft. Our Medium-Coarse hone, followed by the Fine hone, removes rough and tight spots on used barrels and brings them to a bright finish you can see and feel. The Fine hone by itself will also bring new barrels up to a beautiful, mirror-bright finish.
To use, simply chuck the Flex Hone® into a variable speed electric drill, wet it with Flex Hone® oil, and insert it into the barrel from the breech end (if possible). The cutting action generates a slurry of abrasive and oil that helps speed up the process. We offer Flex Hone® hones for 10, 12, 16, and 20 gauge barrels as well as .410 bore, in both sets and individual hones. We also have special-sized hones for 10, 12, 16, 20 gauge chambers, and .410 bore.
To ensure a perfect job, follow our instructions carefully. Most importantly, use only Flex Hone® oil - other oils will destroy the abrasive balls and void our guarantee! Make sure to avoid excess pressure and maintain a maximum drill speed of 750 RPM. Check out our Flex-Hone PDF below for more information.
